Bible — Free!

Now here’s a pretty straight-forward app, with lots of versions available. With this app you can search the Bible by verse, see daily selections to read, and read website contributions from the main page. If you select the “More” feature, you can select by book as well. Our only recommendation for improvement of this app would be to move the “Book Sort” functional tab to the main page. After all, it’s just as useful as the other tabs, in our thinking…yet you have to search for it.  Other than that, the app is free…and God would certainly approve. (KW)

Welcome to the iPhoneAppAdvisor.com site. We’re here to review iPhone apps so that you’ll know what’s worth the download. Sure, there are loads of obvious picks — Super Monkey Ball, anyone? — but what about all those other hundreds of apps that some amazing app creators put together, that might get lost in the fray? You’ll find them here.

You’ll also find loads of other things from our Contributors, including a little bit about each of them, so you’ll know if that Contributor is Someone Like You. (Our Contributors fit into several demographics, including “edgy mid-20s techie” and “thirtysomething-mother-of-two,” not to mention the “hip business guy” and several others you may identify with.)

Since so many of us waited in line for hours to get our iPhones, we’re interested in what you did with that time (meet your next girlfriend, anyone? Go for beers afterwards?) in our feature “My Time in Line.”

And in the tradition of Rolling Stone magazine’s “Desert Island Discs” column (if you were on a desert island, what music could you NOT survive without), we’re asking you: If you had only $15 to spend on iPhone Apps, what would you consider must-haves? Have some ideas for us? We’re here to listen and respond. Above all, we want to create a site that’s full of info and unbiased reviews (and we all know that sometimes the reviews on other sites can be HIGHLY biased, like maybe by the app’s creators).
